November 2017
Dear Friend of Maryland Agriculture,
The annual Taste of Maryland Agriculture Celebration is the state’s premier event, bringing agricultural leaders together with state and national legislators. Please join us at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Michael’s Eighth Avenue, 7220 Grayburn Drive in Glen Burnie.
The mission of this event is to promote agriculture and educate lawmakers about its importance to every citizen in Maryland. They learn directly from you – the producers and supporters of Maryland agricultural products and businesses.
Tickets are $100 per person and will help defray the cost of a legislator. This donation enrolls you, your business or organization as a member of the Maryland Agriculture Council, Inc., and you will be listed as a supporter in the program. Reservations must be postmarked by January 10, 2018, to be included in the program. Late reservation tickets will be $125 and your organization/business will not be included in the program.
The wonderful bounty of Maryland agricultural products will be served throughout the evening with heavy hors d’oeuvre buffets. A program to present the Maryland Agriculture Council Educational Grants and introduce the new inductee to the Governor’s Agricultural Hall of Fame will highlight the evening.
The Council has established an account within the Maryland Agricultural Education Foundation for tax-deductible contributions to support the Maryland Agriculture Council Educational Grants program. Every year, we receive a large number of outstanding applications for new outreach programs and we would like to assist those grassroots efforts. Please consider giving to this fund as you complete your registration form.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held the following Thursday, February 8.
For more information, call Gail Yeiser at 410-353-3069, who manages reservations from the agricultural community. Additional information and reservation forms can be found at www.mdagcouncil.com and make sure you “like” us on Facebook to get updates.
